I want to sell my apartment, but I am not in a hurry

It often happens that owners, before deciding to put their apartment for sale, seek advice from real estate agencies to compare the actual market listings, sometimes finding out they have higher expectations for their property.

It is well known that in recent years the real estate market has seen an ample supply of properties for sale, and it is understandable that most potential investors/buyers are well informed about average market prices, also thanks to the internet, and therefore tend to focus primarily on properties with a starting price offering the best quality/price ratio.

Nevertheless, having stated these two premises, it happens that some owners reluctant to accept the current real estate market scenario reply to the real estate consultant that they “are not in a hurry to sell,” thus imposing on the agency a price outside the market range.

The result of this approach often translates into few requests for property visits and a total absence of purchase offers despite the agency’s commitment in advertising investments and human resources.

The lack of offers, from these owners’ point of view, is solely the agency’s fault, resulting in them transferring the mandate to another real estate agency often at a lower asking price.

So why not follow expert consultants’ advice from the start?Besides losing valuable opportunities, this will prolong the selling time and often result in offers lower than their initial expectations.
